BoL meanwhile is thousands of words 44e descriptive text, personalised items, and a scant few lines of stats, on pages rather than for similar content in DD.

4E 4e Dungeon Delve

Liz rated it liked it Jan 26, Analyzing Design — Part 4: It contains dozens of self-contained easy-to-run mini-dungeons, or 4f each one crafted for a few hours of game-play. The Chaos Scar is an ongoing mini-campaign composed of about a dozen so far small adventures. These little tiny comment boxes make me claustrophobic. Add more monsters of the same or lower level to make encounters harder.

There are no discussion topics on this book yet. Each adventure can be dropped into any campaign with little prep without needing the full campaign. They basically took core Old School play and condensed it down to a format that could be played rapid-fire over the couse of a convention weekend. I did some calculating: White on black is dazzling after a while.
